Complete Professional Practice & Jurisprudence e-Learning Module.

Submit application for registration once you have substantially completed your education and training in psychotherapy,
meaning you are either in your final semester, you have completed 90% of your program (including coursework and practica),
or you’ve completed your program but not your thesis.

Application reviewed by staff (including possible follow-up).
The review stage can take 4 – 5 months, particularly if the applicant is not coming from an education program recognized by CRPO.

Application approved by staff OR referred to Registration Committee for review.

Approved applicants have Certificate of Registration issued: Qualifying category

OR application is refused by Registration Committee (applicant can appeal decision to the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board).

Qualifying registrant submits request to transfer to Registered Psychotherapist category.

Certificate of Registration issued: Registered Psychotherapist category.
