On January 24, 2020, CRPO Council approved the adoption of a defined set of regulatory objectives. Establishing and communicating regulatory objectives allows a regulator to tell registrants and the public both what they do and how they do it. Stated objectives support accountability within a right-touch approach: if an initiative cannot be measured against the one of the objectives, it likely should not be undertaken. These objectives will be used across CRPO Council and committee work to ensure alignment with the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 mandate and Council identified strategic priorities.
