Yesterday, the Ministry of Health launched an online portal to match available health care workers with employers. We have been asked to share links to the site and information about the system with our registrants.

You can access the Workforce Matching Portal  to set up your profile so that you can be matched to hospitals, clinics and assessment centres that are in need of assistance to perform a variety of public health functions, such as case and contact management.

The Ministry has provided resource documents to assist you in navigating the portal:

We are aware that there are a number of roles for health care providers to play and our understanding is that there are both paid and unpaid opportunities available. The Ministry’s portal has been set up to match providers with the needs that exist; it is possible may change as the pandemic situation evolves.

We would encourage you to access the portal to find out further information about what opportunities are available, paid and unpaid.

We are aware that the Ministry is working in real time to respond to the needs as the pandemic situation continues to change daily. And health care workers have been coming forward in considerable numbers to work/volunteer. For these reasons, the system may encounter minor delays as government works to respond to feedback and deal with volume. If you try to use the system and encounter difficulty in entering your registration number when creating a profile, you have the option of selecting “Other Health Professional”. Once you create your profile and log into the portal, you can click on “Account Information” and update your registration number.
