The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and Compass Centre for Examination Development are pleased to announce the dates for the Spring 2021 administration of the CRPO Registration Examination. Registrants who are eligible to write the exam will receive direct communication in the next few days.
Due to ongoing pandemic-related restrictions and closures, arrangements have been made to offer this administration of the examination using an online platform with remote proctoring in partnership with Yardstick Assessment Strategies and MonitorEDU. The remotely proctored examination will be available to eligible candidates on April 5, 6, 7, and 8. Candidates are responsible for indicating their intention to write the examination with CRPO* and registering for the examination with Yardstick Assessment Strategies according to the timetable below.
Remote proctoring has unique safety and security requirements that include locking down the candidate’s computer browser to prevent access to any programs or sites other than the examination platform. The remote proctor is a live individual who monitors the candidate through livestreaming using the candidate’s computer webcam and a smartphone camera.
Limited in-person seating is restricted to only candidates with accessibility issues or accommodation needs (whether temporary, transient, or permanent) that prevent remote proctoring.
Additional information related to frequently asked questions, in-person accommodations, specific minimum requirements for technology and environmental conditions will be posted in the coming days. Candidates will also be required to sign a Candidate Agreement.
Candidates who have previously registered for the April and/or October 2020 examinations and were unable to write due to pandemic-related cancellations have been automatically placed on a priority list. These candidates MUST RECONFIRM OR WITHDRAW their INTENTION to write the registration examination in the Spring administration and RECONFIRM or WITHDRAW any pre-existing ACCOMMODATIONS. To seek approval for new accommodations, candidates must complete the request for accommodations during the intention to write process.

L’Ordre des psychothérapeutes autorisés de l’Ontario et le Centre de développement d’examen sont heureux d’annoncer les dates de l’administration de l’examen d’inscription de l’OPAO au printemps 2021. Les inscrits qui sont éligibles pour passer l’examen recevront une communication directe dans les prochains jours.
En raison des restrictions et des fermetures continues liées à la pandémie, des dispositions ont été prises pour offrir cette administration de l’examen à l’aide d’une plate-forme en ligne avec surveillance à distance en partenariat avec Yardstick Assessment Strategies et MonitorEDU. L’examen surveillé à distance sera offert aux candidats admissibles les 5, 6, 7 et 8 avril. La surveillance à distance d’un examen en ligne a des exigences uniques en matière de sûreté et de sécurité qui comprennent le verrouillage du navigateur informatique du candidat pour empêcher l’accès à des programmes ou des sites autres que la plate-forme d’examen. Le surveillant à distance est un individu qui surveille le candidat grâce à la diffusion en direct à l’aide de la webcam du candidat et d’une caméra de téléphone intelligent.
Les places limitées en personne sont réservées aux candidats ayant des problèmes d’accessibilité ou des besoins d’adaptation (temporaires, transitoires, ou permanents) qui empêchent la surveillance à distance.
Des renseignements supplémentaires sur les questions fréquemment posées, les mesures d’adaptation en personne, les exigences minimales particulières en matière de technologie et les conditions environnementales seront affichés au cours des prochains jours. Les candidats devront également signer une entente de candidature
Les candidats qui se sont déjà inscrits aux examens d’avril et/ou d’octobre 2020 et qui n’ont pas pu écrire en raison d’annulations liées à la pandémie ont été automatiquement inscrits sur une liste de priorités. Ces candidats DOIVENT RECONFIRMER OU RETIRER leur INTENTION de passer l’examen d’inscription à l’administration du printemps et RECONFIRMER ou RETIRER tous besoins d’adaptation préexistants. Pour obtenir l’approbation de nouveaux besoins d’adaptation, les candidats doivent remplir la demande d’adaptation pendant le processus d’intention de rédaction.
